UPDATED: Inter to play in the 2014 International Champions Cup

The Nerazzurri once again make their way Stateside for their 2014-15 preseason plans.

For the second consecutive year, Inter will be partaking in the Guiness International Champions Cup (ICC).  The ICC is a summer tournament held throughout the United States, with the semi-finals and finals taking place at Miami's Sun Life Stadium.

The Nerazzurri are scheduled to play three group matches at the following dates and cities:

  • July 26, 2014 - Inter vs Real Madrid, University of Phoenix Stadium, Phoenix, AZ, 3:00 local time (5:00 pm ET / 2:00 pm PT)
  • July 29, 2014 - Inter vs Manchester United, FedEx Field, Washington D.C., 7:00 pm ET / 4:30 pm PT
  • August 2, 2014 - Roma vs Inter, Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia, PA, 1:00 pm ET / 10:00 am PT
All venues, dates, and start times have been updated to reflect the confirmed schedule.  Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster.

The entire list of confirmed clubs are as followed: Inter, Manchester United, Liverpool, Manchester City, Real Madrid, Milan, Roma, and Olympiakos.

Nearly all host cities have been confirmed, although one or two still need to be finalized.  The cities are listed below:
  • Confirmed: Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Miami, New York, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, Washington D.C.
  • Rumored: Ann Arbor, MI, Hartford, CT

Inter is still scheduled to play Real Madrid on July 26, 2014 but there has been a change in venue from Phoenix, AZ to Berkeley, CA.

According to Avinash Kunnath of SB Nation's California Golden Blogs site, Inter will face Real Madrid at California Memorial Stadium on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 3 p.m. PST.
