Marco Branca has been officially relieved of his duties as the sporting director of Inter. It seems as if the Fredy Guarin/Mirko Vucinic mess from January may have been the breaking point to usher in the change.
Piero Ausilio will be taking over Branca's responsibilities while reporting to managing director, Marco Fassone. We will keep you updated if any other moves in the front office happen.
You can read the official statement on the Inter website here.
Despite some of Branca's questionable moves over the recent years, he helped build our winning squads over the last decade. We would like to say "Thank you" for his work through the years, especially with the shaping of our treble winning team.
