Here are some of the top stories for March 5, 2014:

  • Inter have officially announced the signing of current Manchester United player, Nemanja Vidic.  The Serbian has reportedly signed a 2.5 million euro/2 year contract, with an option for a third year.  Benvenuto, Nemanja!

  • Inter also welcomed new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Michael Williamson for his first day at work.  Williamson was D.C. United's CFO and Chief Operating Officer (COO) before moving to Milan for his new job.  Read Inter director Marco Fassone's words at the official site.
  • A quick round of international friendlies were played on March 5, with ten Nerazzurri players called up to their respective national teams.  Take a look at who was called up at the Inter site.  An interesting match up was between Algeria and Slovenia, as Saphir Taider and Samir Handanovic faced off.  Taider scored one goal and assisted another, with the midfielder's side winning 2-0.

  • Inter sent a commemorative and congratulatory jersey to the San Antonio Spurs' Marco Belinelli for his victory during NBA All Star Weekend.  The jersey had the number "3" on the back, as Belinelli won the 3-point shootout, beating out NBA stars such as Stephen Curry, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love.  Belinelli is a big Inter fan and even though the NBA and Serie A season run concurrently, he has been spotted in the Meazza's VIP area when schedule permits.
