Inter Milan want Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma on loan

The 20-year-old French center back is looking to make more regular first-team appearances, and Inter have offered him a place to do just that.

According to reports from talkSPORT and the Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter Milan have offered to take 20-year-old center back Kurt Zouma on loan for the remainder of the season from Premier League side Chelsea. Zouma has not received many first-team chances at Stamford Bridge, having made only one league appearance for the Blues so far this season.

Zouma may not be a familiar name to some of you, but he was a member of France's U-20 World Cup winning side in 2013 and was named as one of The Observer's top ten young players in Europe in January 2014 as a 19-year-old defensive stalwart for Paris Saint-Étienne.

Inter are relatively short on center back talent at the moment, and the club could certainly use reinforcements for their continued competition in both the Coppa Italia and the *cough cough* Europa League. If allowed to join Inter, Zouma would have the opportunity to see regular playing time for a large club in both league play and European competition.

However, Chelsea have their own trophies to compete for (four to be exact), and would like to keep the young French international in their squad in order to maintain their options at the position as they enter this grueling part of the season.
