Inter Milan have been very active during the transfer market this winter and after the addition of Lucas Podolski and Xerdan Shaqiri, the club have signed 35-year-old Serbian fitness coach Andreji Milutinovic. Milutinovic has a high international reputation and players like Southampton's Dusan Tadic havesaid great things about him in the past, such as:
"He is the Lionel Messi of fitness coaches. I said it once at Dutch medias: it was great working with him, for me and for other players too. At Southampton they were shocked to see how quickly he made me recover in only three days of treatments, he did something miraculous. He is pure gold."
Milutinovic has already worked with the likes of Milan Bisevac, Filip Djuricic, Dusan Basta, Luka Milivojevic and Dusan Tadic of course. He has also worked with Italian national football team captain Gianluigi Buffon and ex-Milan star Andriy Shevchenko.
Milutinovic said about the signing:
"It’s a great recognition for me, but also a really big challenge. Inter is a great club and I’m really happy with what I saw. I know what my job is and I will do it to the fullest. I’m very excited. I met Vidic and Kuzmanovic, they were happy when they saw me. We talked a bit, but we do not have much time to talk because I’m responsible for the whole team."
Welcome to the club Andreji! And if yesterday's match is any indicator, your work will be cut out for you.
