Following last Sunday's 1-0 defeat against Torino, there was more bad news for Inter Milan, as Danilo D'ambrosio and Marco Andreolli both suffered from hamstring tears.
Andreolli was the first to depart, substituted just before the break by Andrea Ranocchia. D'ambrosio then had to came off in the 56th minute, replaced by Xherdan Shaqiri.
To add to Inter's woes, Yuto Nagatomo also sustained a hamstring injury whilst on duty with Japan at the Asian Cup. Nagatomo did not miss a single minute for Japan, and playing more than 390 minutes of football (plus training and travels) in the space of 11 days may have caused his injury. He was also forced to play on in the quarterfinal loss against UAE, as Japan had ran out of substitution during the extra time period.
These injuries will give Roberto Mancini headaches as Inter are already without Juan Jesus and Jonathan, and now may face the next few games without Nagatomo, D'ambrosio, and Andreolli. There has been no official timetable given by the club regarding these injuries.
