Yesterday's Notables:
Inter's South American contingent saw quite a bit of action last night. Fredy Guarin and Jeison Murillo both started a match which saw Colombia take a 3-0 beating at the hands of Uruguay. Miranda wore the captain's armband for a full ninety minutes in Brazil's 3-1 victory over Venezuela. Gary Medel also went ninety minutes for Chile who saw off a scrappy Peru in an exciting (if not sloppy) 4-3 win.
Yuto Nagatomo was on the bench as an unused sub in Japan's 1-1 exhibition with Syria.
Now that the international break is over, we're all set to get back into the thick of league action. As if any of you needed reminding, the first installment of this season's Derby d'Italia happens this Sunday. Hopefully Inter remember how to win matches before Sunday gets here.
