The draw for the Europa League Round of 16 has been completed, and Inter's fate has been revealed. The Nerazzurri will face VfB Wolfsburg, a German side who sit second in the Bundesliga and who recently defeated German giants Bayern by a 4-1 score line.

Die Wölfe are arguably the best side left in the Europa League tournament, so it was clearly inevitable that Inter would draw them today. The Wolfsburg attack will no doubt be a strong test for Inter's shaky back line. Just the thought of Ranocchia and company trying to contain the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Bas Dost, and André Schürrle is harrowing; the back four will have to play out of their minds for two consecutive matches in order to give Inter a chance to advance.

That said, Inter seem to be finding their form at the right time. Under Mancini, Inter have begun to play with something resembling chemistry and cohesion, and if the Nerazzurri can continue to build upon their recent success in Serie A, they just might be able to dance around their defensive Achilles heel for awhile longer in Europe.
