As the season draws closer to its conclusion, many are turning their attention to the summer transfer market.
There has already been interest shown to sign Lamela, Immobile, and Jovetic to boost the attack, and now there are reports that Inter are also looking at Edin Dzeko. Another Manchester City striker, the 29 year old is possibly going to be shown the door at his current club in order to help finance their rebuilding process. Among the teams potentially interested in his signature are Chelsea and Inter.
The interesting thing about this rumor is that Dzeko is a striker that plays in a very similar fashion to Mauro Icardi, so having the two of them play together probably would not work all that well. It is more likely that this (like the Immobile inquiry) is the club preparing a potential replacement for the young Argentine if he does leave this summer.
Though Dzeko has proven to be a pretty good striker, I think most fans would prefer to keep Icardi over Dzeko, especially given that he would probably cost around €20 million (transfermarkt lists his value around €24 million but he could probably be acquired for a little less). But maybe I'm wrong. Let us know what you think about this new interest?
