Another day, another transfer rumor to dissect.
Reports have been emerging that Inter are looking at Javier Chicharito Hernandez to be the new signing in attack. The 26 year old is owned by Manchester United but has spent the season on loan at Real Madrid (to be more specific, has spend most of the season at Real Madrid's bench). He has started just 10 matches during his time at Madrid, and though Ancelotti has the possibility to make the move permanent, this option does not look all that likely.
Manchester United coach Louis Van Gaal also does not seem to want the Mexican striker, so it looks like Chicharito will continue his search for more playing time elsewhere. With this in mind Inter have approached him offering a home in Milan. A club with the history of Inter should appeal to him (since it looks like he really only wants to play on big teams) and Mancini can offer him significantly more playing time that what he has been given in Madrid or Manchester.
I like the idea of this move. I've always been a bit of a fan of Chicharito and I think he could do well at Inter. He is definitely mobile enough to work well with Icardi, and Serie A (and consistent playing time) could suit him. A deal looks good from a financial perspective as well. His market value is listed as around €10 million so his transfer would not cost too much, plus signing him would help Thohir expand the Inter brand into Mexico.
What do you guys think? Do you want to see Chicharito wearing black and blue next season?
