Inter Night is a celebration for season-ticket holders to wrap up the year and unveil the jersey for the next season. This year the club went back to tradition. Not only did they return to the classic broad vertical black and blue stripes that the Nerazzurri are known for, they styled the jersey off the ones worn in the 1990/91 season when Inter won the UEFA Cup.
Besides returning to the usual stripes that the fans are used to, the collar is also in black and blue (similar to the 1990/1991 kit). Though there aren't any pictures of the back yet, but the stripes there are supposed to be offset from the ones on the front for a "eye-catching and subtly abstract look".
Among those present for the unveiling of the new jersey were Mancini, Zanetti, the team debuting the new looks, and a number of former Nerazzurri players from that 1990/91 season. Players and administration alike spoke of returning to tradition and honoring the team's past greatness by returning the club to the heights that it belongs at.
The new home jersey should be available online from the Inter store and Nike on May 28th.
