Manchester United's search for a new goalkeeper has them reportedly knocking on Inter Milan's door (source: Inside Futbol).
According to Sky Italia, The Red Devils have made their interest in Samir Handanovic known to the Nerazzurri, should United's current shot-stopper David de Gea choose to make a move to Real Madrid this summer.
While Man U still have an excellent goalkeeper in Victor Valdes, de Gea's potential exit would clear the way for Handanovic to compete for a starting spot at Old Trafford next season.
Inter are currently in talks with Handanovic to extend his contract, which ends next June. If (and this is, admittedly, a big "if") Inter were to sell Handanovic to United (or any other giant club) this summer, the transfer fee could be huge. Some Inter fans may be excited by the potential monetary gains from the sell of such a highly-valued player, but surely others would be upset to see Inter let go of one of their very best and most consistent players.
