With the need to improve on this season's disappointing campaign, Inter Milan has already been doing some serious searching for new additions to the squad. Though many hold the opinion that the defense is the part of the team that needs the most help, it seems like most of the transfer rumors have been focused on the attack.
Those types of reports continue with news that Inter are interested in Ivan Perisic. The 26 year old currently plays for Wolfsburg and was played in both matches against Inter in the Europa League (coming on as a substitute in each leg). Those performances, combined with 8 goals and 7 assists in all competitions for the German side this season have apparently impressed Mancini to inquire about the player's availability.
There was also interest in the Croatian international during the January transfer market, but he opted to remain with Wolfsburg and try to win with them. It would seem like it would be harder to get the player now since Wolfsburg managed to win the DFB Pokal and came in second in the Bundesliga, the club looks on the rise and would want to hang on to one of its more important players. The Croatian players already playing for the Nerazzurri might make the player more open to the idea of moving to Milan though, so we will see what happens on this one.
