Inter 0 - 1 Milan, ICC: Mexes' super saiyan golazo the difference

So Inter lost a Milan Derby today - sort of. Mancini trotted out a bunch of Primavera players against a decent Milan side in a friendly and ended up losing 1-0 after Philippe Mexes scored a goal that will stick in our memories for years to come despite the fact that this was not a "real" Derby match.

The match as a whole was pretty awful to watch. The pitch at Shenzhen City Stadium was less-than-stellar and the players were certainly feeling the heat from the start of the match.

The first half was uneventful, to put it kindly, and the two sides headed into halftime with the scoreline sitting at 0-0. The second match looked to be much more of the same – UNTIL THIS HAPPENED:

Like, what even is that? That, my friends, is a golazo for the ages. Look at Carrizo's reaction - it's priceless. This is, as a colleague put it, "the 'Mexesest' goal ever scored." (s/o Michele!) He's not wrong. It was gorgeous. Too gorgeous for a match like this.

While Nerazzurri fans can and should be upset by this result, it's important to note that without Mexes summoning his superhuman abilities, this match would've likely ended up a 0-0 draw with each club seeing about 50% of the possession and taking about the same amount of lackluster shots.

But Milan pulled some schoolyard / training ground stuff today and it actually worked. Kudos, Mexes. Next time score a golazo on a different team, will ya?
