According to Gazzetta dello Sport (h/t Sport Witness), Inter Milan defender Danilo D'Ambrosio has quite a few suitors across Europe lining up in an attempt to woo him to their side.
The biggest club with their name in the proverbial pot is that of English side Tottenham Hotspur, but they certainly aren't the only ones. Fellow Premier League side West Ham are also thought to be in the race. Serie A sides Roma, Napoli, and Fiorentina have reportedly expressed their interest along with some unnamed Bundesliga sides.
Obviously, Inter would be willing to sell D'Ambrosio for a decent price, and his versatility as both a defender and a midfielder certainly makes him very marketable.
While Spurs would definitely be able to offer Inter the highest transfer fee for D'Ambrosio, he may only be more of a bench player for a side with that depth. If he were to head off to West Ham, as Gianluca DiMarzio sees as likely, D'Ambrosio would be more likely to see regular first-team playing time.
D'Ambrosio's agent has echoed DiMarzio's claim, saying that the West Ham link is there, but that Napoli has not made a real effort as of yet. He also said that D'Ambrosio is happy at Inter, that Mancini would like to keep the player in Milan, and that no concrete negotiations with any club have been put into motion.
This news all comes after D'Ambrosio was reportedly left off Mancini's roster for Inter's upcoming friendly against Turkish side Galatasaray in Istanbul this weekend.
