Despite Inter's hot start to in this 2015 summer market, Roberto Mancini is not yet satisfied. Mancini's concern is not about the quality of the players acquired so far, but rather that he would like to complete all the signings needed quickly in order to be able to work with next season's complete squad as soon as possible.
Mancini has asked Erick Thohir to complete the fifth signing of the summer (after Murillo, Kondogbia, Miranda and Montoya) before the end of the week. The most likely result will be Wolfsburg's winger Ivan Perisic. While Mancini hasn't said it explicitly, it's pretty clear that he is planning to field a 4 - 3 - 3 formation next season. For this reason, signing the Croatian star would make a lot of sense, even if it means sacrificing the unwilling-to-leave Shaqiri in a swap deal.
Another target is the infamous Chelsea striker Mohamed Salah. It was Salah for whom the Nerazzurri locked horns with Fiorentina, who accused Inter of secretly contacting the Egyptian player while still under contract with the Viola. It's an odd situation that won't probably have any real repercussions on the Milanese club, but it can be said with confidence that any goodwill that once existed between the two Serie A sides has gone up in smoke.
Meanwhile, Thoir is reportedly speaking with Manchester City's delegates about the possibility of acquiring Stevan Jovetic. But for now his situation has been put on hold. Inter want to finalize the Perisic and/or Salah's deals first and then, if they fall through, Jovetic would be next in line to become Inter's fifth signing of the summer.
