Reports from Forza Italian Football claim that Inter Milan have reached an agreement with German side Schalke 04 to swap Nerazzurri defender Danilo D'Ambrosio for Die Königsblauen defender Thilo Kehrer.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, D'Ambrosio has already reached an agreement in principle with the Bundesliga side, and now the two clubs simply have to negotiate the fee. Inter have apparently asked €5 million for D'Ambrosio, who is also attracting interest from English sides Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham.
This news comes right on the heels of reports of a 4-year agreement which was reached between Inter and Schalke defender Thilo Kehrer yesterday. La Gazzetta dello Sport has reported that the young player has been training alone in Stuttgart and is waiting for a final agreement to be reached between his agent and the Italian club.
According to German newspaper Bild, the Schalke U-19 captain never reported for training for the German side after playing in the European Under-19 Championship. Kehrer has represented Germany at various youth levels, and is known for the various roles he can play in defense.
It seems Inter may be offering D'Ambrosio to the German side in a sort of exchange for Kehrer. No one has come out and said that, but we feel something is definitely going down here. We'll try to keep you posted as news becomes official.
