Inter unveil 2015/16 third (and last) kit

Inter revealed on Wednesday their 3rd kit for this season, which has a simple, yet fresh design. Oh, and it's yellow.

Two months ago Inter revealed what would have been their away kit for the 2015/16 season, and was quite a relief finding out they followed the classical style of the home one. On Wednesday Inter's official website unveiled the team's third kit stating that:

2015/16 will see Inter play some of their most significant away fixtures in a bold yellow kit that represents a modern reimagining of one of club’s traditional away looks.

Yes, yellow has always been, traditionally, Inter's third official color, but they didn't use it many times. The club used it for the first time in the 1980/81 season, when Puma was their technical sponsor. Since then this colorway has been seen in just 4 different kits, and last time the Nerazzurri rocked a yellow shirt was in 2004, eleven years ago.

Nike and Inter decided it was the right time to bring back the yellow kit, with a fresh and simple design, which is the same used for the others 2015/16 Night Rising Third Kits by teams like Barcelona, Manchester City and Roma, with black gradients on shirt and short's cuffs and two black stripes running down the sides. To keep the minimalist look and a clean design, Inter's badge will be monochromatic. Black socks complete Inter's third kit.

In case you are interested, this particular nuance of yellow is called "Light Voltage Yellow" and Inter's official statement suggest we will see the players wearing it especially for night games. That's what they wrote about it:

During night games, this effect serves to accentuate the players’ physical presence underneath the floodlights.

I like this kit. A lot. It's bold and striking. We have great ambition this season, we have quality players that will surely take pride in wearing Inter's colors, so I want my team to be noticed as much as they can. And what's more noticeable than a blazing yellow shirt?

We will have to wait until October 4th to finally see it in an official match, when the team will use it for the first time, against Sampdoria. The kit will be available for purchase on all Nike's platforms and Inter's official website starting from October 1st.
