So ends the relationship between Vidic and the Milanese club. The 34 year old made 28 appearances for the club and scored one goal in the process. Though he arrived to much fanfare injuries and poor performances derailed any chances of him working out here at Inter and once Miranda arrived and did the job that he was supposed to do (provide an experienced and commanding presence in the defense) it was only a matter of time before he and his high wages were cut from the squad.
The former Manchester United player is rumored to be considering a move to the MLS before he retires. It could be a move that suits him; clubs would be willing to pay him well and he could probably perform better there than what his time at Inter indicated he might be capable of at his age. We wish him luck and hope he can show that he can still be a reliable player wherever he ends up.
