Match Info

When: Thursday, December 8th 3:05pm ET/ 9:05pm CET

Where: Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, Milan, Italy.

No result tomorrow will allow Inter to remain in the Europa League so this will be the final match of Inter’s 16/17 European campaign. I could try to spin this as a positive saying that this gives Inter a greater chance to turn things around in Serie A and maybe make a deep run in the Coppa Italia, but this still is wildly disappointing. Regardless, there’s one match left for Stefano Pioli and his men and though the final score ultimately doesn’t matter, they still need to put on a decent showing for the fans.

Team News

Pioli called up a reduced squad for the match with most his options being players who haven’t seen much time on the pitch so far this season. Pioli admitted that he would use this game as an opportunity to look at the guys who haven’t had many chances to impress him (unfortunatly Gabriel Barbosa isn’t in the EL squad...). Expect to see minutes for some of the promising youngsters (Pinamonti, Miangue, Gnoukouri) and the older guard still trying to show they’re useful (Andreolli and Palacio).

Inter’s squad: Carrizo, Berni; Andreolli, Ranocchia, Ansaldi, Santon, Murillo, Yao, Miangue; Melo, Gnoukouri, Zonta; Palacio, Biabiany, Eder, Perisic, Bakayoko, Pinamonti
