With all the talk of upcoming sales we know at least one player will be sticking around for a little while longer. Today Inter announced that Marcelo Brozovic has signed a two year contract extension that ties him to the club until the summer of 2021.

This news sees the Croatian midfielder come full circle to arrrive back in the good graces of Inter fans. He started the season on everybody’s good side after turning down an offer with higher wages from Chelsea to stay at Inter, only to see him get exiled from the squad by Frank De Boer for attitude issues. The arrival of Stefano Pioli has seen Brozovic return to the side and become an integral part of the first team again, and now he has been rewarded with a new contract.

This deal sees him reportedly making €2.2m per season and possibly includes a €50m release clause that can only be activated by foreign clubs. Let’s hope to see even more good things from the 24 year old!
