No matter how this match goes, this has been a fairly decent season. For the more optimistic people even a good one since the team managed to finish fourth after a totally disastrous campaign last season.Yes, the club's target before the start was getting back in the Champions League and they failed to fulfill it but the teams ahead of Inter still have better squads and/or more chemistry, despite all the money spent last summer by the Nerazzurri.
The last time Inter faced Sassuolo the match was decided by a late penalty by Domenico Berardi which gave the Neroverdi the 1-0 win. Tomorrow the pressure will be almost non-existent for the Nerazzurri as they already have fourth place locked up, but the opposing team is still fighting to stay ahead of Milan and claim qualification for the Europa League preliminary rounds. It would be historical for them and with just a one-point edge over Milan they want to win to avoid a last minute surprise by our evil cousins.
The pre-game press conference this weekend was...interesting. Mancio started it by revealing the Starting XI for tomorrow: Radu, Gyamfi, Della Giovanna, Murillo, Senna, Gnoukouri, Bonetto, Turbo ( Josè Correia), Baldini, Manaj and Kondogbia. The reporters giggled and were surprised a little by this squad which features a lot of youngsters, and they were already thinking about a dirty trick at Milan's expenses. Then at the very end, while laughing, he announced the actual formation.
Inter's XI tomorrow (4-3-3): Carrizo; D'Ambrosio, Murillo, JJ, Nagatomo/Telles; Brozovic, Melo/Gnoukouri, Kondogbia; Jovetic, Eder, Palacio

He also had some very honest and unexpected answers to the questions about his future at the club. He said that he wants to stay as long as the president, his staff, and the fans are happy with his job so far. If they are not, he said that he is ready to opt out of his contract and turn down the money he would get from Inter. This is a bold statement and, in my opinion, it shows his will to build something for the future here, not because he has to but because he wants to do it. If we read between the lines, it could also mean that things between him and Thohir are not all a bed of roses and management are still evaluating his work with the team this season.
Projected Starting XIs:
Sassuolo: Consigli; Vrsaljko, Cannavaro, Acerbi, Peluso; Pellegrini, Magnanelli, Duncan; Politano, Defrel, Sansone.
Inter: Carrizo; D'Ambrosio, Murillo, JJ, Nagatomo/Telles; Brozovic, Melo/Gnoukouri, Kondogbia; Jovetic, Eder, Palacio;
