This summer Inter’s defenders have become a bit popular for transfer stories. There have been repeated stories that clubs are interested in Miranda and Jeison Murillo, while Mancini has no problem with letting Ranocchia leave again. Now it seems that Juan Jesus is the next center-back that has a few suitors.
One of the clubs that has been linked to the Brazilian defender is AS Roma. Ever since the injury to Antonio Rudiger there have been reports that JJ could be a transfer target for the Giallorosi. Now it seems that Antonio Conte’s Chelsea might also be looking at the 25 year old to strengthen his new club’s backline. Inter’s valuation of JJ seems to vary depending on the source but it seems to be something along the lines of €10-15m.
I don’t see this as a deal that is likely to happen. Just a few weeks ago there were stories galore about Conte’s interest in Murillo so I think this is just an attempt to create more transfer drama. JJ serves as a valuable backup for Mancini and will likely play a lot more next season when the club is fighting on three fronts so I don’t see the Italian manager being too keen on selling him.
