Earlier there were a lot of stories going around from numerous sources that Inter was close to signing Dinamo Zagreb youngster Marko Pjaca. Now it seems that those rumors were at best a little exaggerated and at worst totally made up. A couple of hours ago Pjaca posted on his Facebook page that there was no such impending move to Inter and that he is looking forward to preseason training with his Dinamo Zagreb teammates. His agent also confirmed this in a brief interview.
For now it is unclear what will happen with the 21 year old winger. There are still numerous clubs interested in his signature and neither of them closed the door to a move to the Nerazzurri, they just said it isn’t happening immediately.
This sort of stuff happens sometimes when the transfer market is open. A source says something, others start picking it up, and a rumor gains traction almost on its own. We usually try to do a bit of vetting but sometimes we just get it wrong. That’s why this time of year is called the “Silly Season”.
