It's finally official. After a lot of waiting, Inter has released the news that Ever Banega is an Inter player. The Argentine midfielder has signed a 3 year deal worth around €3 million a season plus bonuses, along with a €2.5 million signing-on fee. Since his contract with Sevilla had expired the club was able to sign him for free which makes this deal just a little sweeter.
Banega is coming off back to back Europa League victories with Sevilla and the incredible disappointment of losing the Copa America final with Argentina. He will definitely be fired up to win some trophies for Inter and make a name for himself with his new club. In an earlier article I wrote that Banega would be the Inter midfielder to watch out for this coming season and I am looking forward to seeing what he can do.
Banega joins an Inter squad with a strong Argentinian contingent including Rodrigo Palacio, Mauro Icardi, and vice-president Javier Zanetti who will do their best to make sure he feels welcome at his new home. From all of us here we say welcome Ever Banega, and let's work on winning your third Europa League title in a row eh?
