Today, Inter face bottom of the table Pescara at home. The Dolphins have not won a league match all season*, so three points is a must, and there are no excuse to leave with anything less.
The last time these teams faced each other, it took two goals from Mauro Icardi (one in stoppage time) to rescue a win for Inter. Revitalized by Stefano Pioli, the Nerazzurri are a much different team than the one that almost dropped points away to Pescara in September. A victory would see Inter push the winning-streak to nine games in all competitions, and seven in Serie A—something the club have not achieved since November 2012.
With a challenging Coppa Italia fixture on Tuesday, and a trip to Turin to face Juventus looming next Sunday, Inter cannot afford to let any points slip away today.
*Pescara were awarded a victory after Sassuolo played an ineligible player on August 28th.
