The fantastic run of consecutive wins is extended yet again. Inter have been dominating games and are reaping the benefits of their fantastic play. It does not matter who starts the game or who comes on as a substitute, every Inter player seems to be giving their all. Not only are they giving their all, but they are also playing with quality and it shows in the results. The team ran out to an impressive start and went into halftime leading by a comfortable two goals. The second half only served to deepen the divide between the two teams as Inter scored another goal and finished the game off without hesitation. This now marks the seventh league win in a row.

Players

Samir Handanovic - 6

Managed to secure another clean sheet in a game where he was not challenged too much. Throughout the game, Handanovic made saves whenever Pescara were able to get a shot off. His game would have been perfect if it were not for a bundled save that almost lead to a Pescara goal in the twenty third minute if it were not for Valerio Verre being waved offside.

Danilo D'Ambrosio - 6.5

Danilo is definitely our most viable option in the fullback position. D'Ambrosio has contributed with solid defense for most of the season and has been absolutely essential for Pioli's winning side. Chipped in with the first goal of the match after tapping in a beautiful cross at the back post.

Miranda - 6

There were suggestions that Miranda may not start against Pescara due to fears of him picking up his fifth yellow card and consequently getting suspended for the crucial match against Juventus. Miranda justified Pioli's decision to start him as he played the whole game without picking up a yellow card while still leading the back line.

Gary Medel - 6

Medel filled in well for Miranda's normal partner Murillo. Medel showed his trademark grit and tenacity as he won several balls throughout the match and defended calmly at the back. Under Pioli, Medel will be utilized as a defender, but that does not mean his history as a midfielder has been nullified. Medel stormed up the field a couple of times showing that he is more than just a defender.

Yuto Nagatomo - 6

Nagatomo came in for the suspended Ansaldi at fullback. As Pescara did not get forward much, Nagatomo was not really threatened. He played his part in ensuring that Inter Milan got another clean sheet and is possibly in line for more minutes midweek against Lazio.

Roberto Gagliardini - 6.5

Since arriving at Inter, Roberto has slotted into the starting lineup and has not looked back. He runs the midfield like he has been here for years. Gagliardini shields the defense superbly and presses the ball forward with ease. Roberto's acquisition looks absolutely brilliant in hindsight and he provides the midfield with much needed balance.

Marcelo Brozovic- 6.5

Got an assist and partnered excellently with Gagliardini. The two controlled the midfield and distributed the ball with class. His assist was a sublime cross to the back post that landed right on the foot of D'Ambrosio.

Antonio Candreva - 6

Out of all our attackers, Candreva was the only one to not get a goal or an assist of his own. This does not mean that Candreva had a bad night. Candreva did what he has been doing all year. He crossed the ball an insane amount and got back to help out with defense.

Joao Mario - 7.5

Was the most creative player on the pitch. Joao Mario found endless ways to influence the match as he was all over the pitch causing the Pescara defenders problems. His endless effort was almost rewarded when a pressured Francesco Zampano passed him the ball in the box. Joao was unable to finish this chance, but got a tap in goal minutes later as a reward for his excellent performance.

Ivan Perisic - 6.5

I do not know whether to credit Perisic or just accept that Pescara defended woefully. Either way, Perisic caused Pescara problems and got an assist on a wonderfully driven low cross to Joao Mario. Continues to contribute to the team and his hard work always shows as he impresses nearly every week.

Mauro Icardi - 6.5

The true leader of this team as he continues to show his star ability. Icardi is more than just a poacher. This can be easily gleaned from the fact that he now has eight assists this season. Icardi linked up well with everyone up front and is an absolute force to be reckoned with.

Substitutes

Eder - 6.5

Eder further proved Pioli's ability to make influential substitutions. Right after coming on the pitch, Eder scored a goal to put the game away. Eder stormed up the pitch and proved he can be a viable option for Pioli up front.

Gabriel Barbosa - 5.5

Came on after the team had already sealed the win, but still pushed forward. Gabriel showed more of his fancy flicks and even got a shot off on goal. Did not have too much influence over the game but it is nice to see him get minutes.

Davide Santon - 5.5

Came on in the closing minutes of the game, but did not have too much to do.

Manager

Stefano Pioli - 7

Pioli set up the team to win yet another game. Many feared the team may be too complacent in this game, against the relegation threatened Pescara, knowing that they were facing both Lazio and Juventus next. The team looked anything but complacent as they pushed hard for this win. Pioli has the players fighting for every game with desire and determination. This team looks like it has a legitimate chance to challenge both Lazio and Juventus in the coming games and even push for one of the coveted Champions League places.
