Inter Injury Updates

Today Inter released good news concerning their players out through injury.

During the match against Bologna, Jeison Murillo was subbed off for Cristian Ansaldi. Though it first looked like a tactical switch it later came out that the Colombian defender had picked up a knock during the match. With Miranda suspended for the upcoming game against Roma it seemed that Stefano Pioli would have a bit of a problem for that crucial fixture. That might not be an issue anymore.

Today Inter released a statement updating injury news for the players. It turns out Murillo was given the all-clear after testing, though he will be on a personalized training session and will be assessed daily. Pioli will be eager to have him available for the upcoming weekend fixture but will not want to rush the 24 year old back and risk his re-injuring himself again.

The statement also mentioned other players. Marcelo Brozovic was said to be “recovering well” from his fractured toe and will also be assessed daily. Two men that won’t be training today are Geoffrey Kondogbia and Trent Sainsbury as they both have the flu. I’m sure Kondogbia will be hoping to recover as soon as possible to line up next to Gagliardini (who is away on international duty) at the weekend. Sainsbury is still looking to pick up his first minutes as an Inter player (spoiler alert: it probably won’t happen during this weekend’s game unless Pioli decides to channel his inner Roberto Mancini and surprise everbody with his lineup).
