Hi SoM family, this is Baraka. I mentioned before that I was stepping down as managing editor and now that time has come. I'm so grateful to SB Nation for giving me the opportunity to share my thoughts on this site, and I also must thanks all the writers I've worked with during my time here-you have all been great. Most of all, I'm honored that those who read this blog were willing to put up with me and actually listen to what I had to say. This isn't the last you'll see of me, I'll return to commenting fairly frequently and maybe do a guest article from time to time but now it's time for me to leave Serpents of Madonnina in some very capable hands. And with that I say my goodbye and leave the new additions to introduce themselves.
Bryan Nelson:
It is always sad to see someone leave, but it always opens up a door to new challenges and beginnings. I am proud to be a part of the team that will continue the legacy that Baraka built here. A longtime fan of Internazionale, I am so proud to be given the opportunity to work with this great community and cover a team I love dearly. I manage Coming Home Newcastle, and have joined Serpents of Madonnina as the assistant manager to our incoming Managing Editor, who will introduce himself.
Matt Clark:
First, and foremost, Baraka has done fantastic things with Serpents of Madonnina and it is our hope to continue those things moving forward. This is going to be an excellent experience for me as I have been a fan of Serie A and Internazionale for many years. I am pleased to be the Managing Editor of Serpents and look forward to what we all hope will be a great season. The Serpents’ community is one of passion and dedication for the Nerazzurri and a genuine love of the game. With a new coach, we all hope brings with it success that this club longs for and its fanbase deserves. Through the good and the bad, the staff here at Serpents will follow every step of the way.
We will have some new faces joining the team in the weeks to come as well as the roll out of some new features for the site. Of course, we are always looking for contributors and editors who have as much passion for Internazionale as we do. I invite those interested in being a part of this team to reach out.
I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the great work of Tim Kraus and Will Beckman, both of whom will continue to provide the same great coverage and analysis this community has come to expect and will get more of. We all will mix our personalities and opinions in with hard analysis and in-depth coverage of Inter. It’s the same coverage that has made this site a go-to for Nerazzurri news and information.
Finally, thank you Baraka for your passion and dedication to Serpents. You will always have a place in our masthead.
Forza Nerazzuri!
