Welcome to this edition of Inter Links, a new weekly feature at SoM where we look at stories from around Serie A, Europe and, of course, Inter. This being Financial Fair Play day, we thought it fitting to move Links to today rather than on its regular day … which has yet to be really decided.

So, we will use Links today to stay clear of FFP as we hold our collective breaths to make sure we are in the clear.

Conte’s Mad and He’s Not Going to Take It Anymore

Word out of London is that Chelesa boss Antonio Conte is steaming after the club decided to pursue signing Everton’s Romelu Lukaku rather than Torino striker Andrea Belotti. Both are valued at around £85 million, but Blues owner Roman Abramovich elected to go for Lukaku over Conte’s demands. Is the honeymoon over for the reigning Premier League champs and their boss?

Could Sampdoria Land Wesley Sneijder?

ESPN FC has reported MLS expansion side Los Angeles FC are still in the hunt to sign Galatasaray midfielder Wesley Sneijder. The only problem is someone forgot to tell Sampdoria. Apparently, there is a race for Sneijder whom LAFC hope to make their first franchise player. LAFC is offering a $3.5 million (€3 million) a season deal for two years. Sky Sport Italia said Sampdoria is eyeing a deal of about €2.5 million ($2.9 million) but the former Inter man would stay in Europe. Decisions, decisions.

Officially Official

Our friends over at Black and White and Read All Over reported Juventus star Dani Alves officially terminated his contract with the club Thursday. This likely means Alves will leave Italy and reunite with Pep Guardiola at Manchester City. Alves spent just one season in Turin after leaving Barcelona, but helped lead the Bianconeri a domestic league and cup double as well as a spot in the Champions League final. All’s well that ends well.

Hellander Off to Leeds??

Apparently Bologna is now willing to part ways with some of their players. One of those players is Swedish international Filip Helander. Initially, Bologna manager Roberto Donadoni was not keen on the idea of Helander leaving, but has apparently changed his tune. The price tag: £3-4 million, which is right in the range that Championship side Leeds United has offered, which is £3.5 million.

Set pieces:

That will about do it for this edition of Inter Links. Hope everyone has a great Financial Fair Play weekend.

Forza Inter!
