If reports in England are any indication, Inter Milan may be ready to cash in on Croatian winger Ivan Perisic.

Several reports indicate the club has set a price of no less than €35 million with the hopes of being able to bring in a replacement perhaps as soon as the January transfer window.

This means Jose Mourinho and Manchester United have been put on notice as to what it would take to sign the Inter star this January. Mourinho has targeted Perisic in the past but Inter Milan has previously rebuffed any attempts to lure him away from the Giuseppe Meazza.

After a solid campaign last season and a successful World Cup that saw Perisic lead Croatia to the tournament finals, he has scored just twice in 12 Serie A appearances this season. Of course, he has not made the starting XI in three of those matches for various reasons.

Calciomercato has suggested the Nerazzurri are interested in bringing in Anthony Martial who is in the last season of his contract with the Red Devils and could serve as a suitable replacement for Perisic if a deal is struck during the January mercato.

Any deal for Perisic could include a swap for Martial, but it is highly unlikely Manchester United would be interested in such a deal. United have an option to extend Martial for another year after this season and Mourinho has gone on record to suggest he hopes that kind of an agreement can be met.

”Obviously, I hope they will agree. Obviously, I hope,” Mourinho said, as quoted by the Mirror. “One thing is that he’s a talented player that everybody knows he is, everybody knows since he was in Monaco that he is a talented player. Another thing is a talented player with consistency and understanding what a football match is in the globality.

“When you reach that level, or when you are almost reaching that level, is when you become a top player. One thing is top talent, another is a top player. He is now much closer to being a top player. Obviously, I would like him to stay. I know the club wants him very much to stay. Hopefully he is going to stay.”

Another team who could be interested in signing Perisic is Tottenham Hotspur, who has also shown interest in the winger in the past but have failed to work a deal with Inter to finalize.
