Inter Milan target Lautaro Martinez has been selected by Argentina national team head trainer Jorge Sampaoli to participate in the team’s friendlies coming up.

Former Inter midfielder Ever Banega was also named to the roster, but current Nerazzurri striker Mauro Icardi was not.
Martinez, who currently plays for Racing Club in Argentina, has been highly scouted by the Nerazzurri and even rumored to have a deal in place to move him to the San Siro this summer.
Most recently, Martinez scored the tying goal for Racing in their matchup with Il Chacarita in the Argentinian First Division.
So far this season, Martinez has found the net 12 times in 14 games – including a pair of games where he scored a hat trick. He has added four assists to his tally as well.
He previously capped for Argentina’s U20 team, scoring seven goals in 11 appearances.
Martinez’s agent recently confirmed to Football-Espana.net that his client would be joining Inter Milan despite interest from Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid. In an interview with TyC Sports, Rolando Zarate said Martinez will join Inter for “30 million dollars” or around €24 million.
“I’ve always talked to the Nerazzurri about him going in June, they’ll never agree to leave him in Argentina until December,” Zarate told the television station, as quoted by Football-Espana.
After Sunday’s draw with Napoli, Inter Milan sit fifth in the Serie A standings, a point back of Lazio and five ahead of AC Milan with a game in hand over Lazio.
