Inter Milan defender Joao Miranda has been a stalwart for the Brazil national team since 2014.

Since that time, Miranda has played in all but seven matches for the national team – only missing recently with a muscle injury and a concussion.

Now, Miranda will make another run at a World Cup with Brazil after being called up by Tite.

Miranda missed one 2017 qualifying match with a concussion but played in the other three – a 2-0 win against Ecuador, 0-0 draw with Bolivia and a 3-0 win at Chile.

In the latest round of international friendlies, Miranda scored in a 3-0 win over Russia and played against England and Germany. He sat out in a 3-1 win over Japan.

After missing all of the 2014 World Cup in his home nation, Miranda has been in 38 matches for Brazil, including most of their World Cup qualification matches and its run in the 2015 Copa America where Brazil was defeated on penalties in the quarterfinals against Paraguay.

He has scored twice and has one assist over his time with the national team.

Miranda will be joined on defense by PSG duo Marquinhos and Thiago Silva. Up front, Brazil will sport Neymar, Gabriel Jesus, Roberto Firmino and Juventus striker Douglas Costa.
