Tottenham Hotspur could sweeten a deal for Inter Milan’s Ivan Perisic

Cash-plus-player swap could see Croatian leave San Siro.

Reports in England are that Tottenham Hotspur are hot on the trail of Inter Milan forward Ivan Perisic.

In fact, the reports include that the London club have started negotiations with Fali Ramidani, Perisic’s agent.

Initially, it would seem unlikely that Perisic would leave as Inter have not expressed a strong interest in selling him, but Mauricio Pochettino could offer up something that could be too good for Inter to pass up.

It is possible that midfielder Moussa Sissoko could be offered plus cash to bring the Croatian international to London.

Sissoko has been on the radar of Inter management for some time, but the club has never actively pursued him. Having him added to a deal for Perisic could be just enough for the Nerazzurri to pull the trigger and let Perisic go.

With the addition of Lautaro Martinez next season, Luciano Spalletti could be hard-pressed to find room for both Martinez and Perisic in the lineup.

However, bringing in Sissoko as a midfielder could be a piece of the lineup puzzle Inter could use.

The French international played in 47 matches for Tottenham this season, scoring two goals and adding five assists, but his playing time was limited as he competed with the likes of Christian Eriksen, Son Heung-min, Lucas Moura and Erik Lamela.

If he were to come to the San Siro, it is likely Sissoko would find much more playing time especially considering Inter’s addition into next season’s Champions League.
