While Inter Milan doesn’t have the highest wage bill in Serie A (thanks Juventus), their wage bill is still pretty high.
In all, the Nerazzurri is third behind the Old Lady and AC Milan for highest wages in Serie A at a robust €116 million, three of their players — Mauro Icardi, Radja Nainggolan and Ivan Perisic rank in the top 20 overall in the league.
Here’s a look at Inter’s wage bill, according to Calciomercato.com:
- Mauro Icardi: €4.5 million (2021)
- Radja Nainggolan: €4.5 million (2021)
- Ivan Perisic: €4 million (2022)
- Stefan De Vrij: €3.8 million (2023)
- Joao Miranda: €3.5 million (2019)
- Samir Handanovic: €3.2 million (2021)
- Kwadwo Asamoah: €3 million (2021)
- Antonio Candreva: €3 million (2021)
- Keita Balde: €3 million (2023)
- Sime Vrsaljko: €2.8 million (2023)
- Joao Mario: €2.7 million (2021)
- Borja Valero: €2.5 million (2020)
- Marcelo Brozovic: €2.5 million (2021)
- Matias Vecino: €2.5 million (2021)
- Andrea Ranocchia: €2.4 million (2019)
- Danilo D’Ambrosio: €1.7 million (2021)
- Milan Skriniar: €1.7 million (2022)
- Matteo Politano: €1.6 million (2023)
- Roberto Gagliardini: €1.5 million (2021)
- Lautaro Martinez: €1.5 million (2023)
- Henrique Dalbert: €1.2 million (2022)
- Daniele Padelli: €500,000 (2019)
- Tommaso Berni: €200,000 (2019)
Some surprises here include that Joao Mario earns €2.7 million and isn’t expected to see the pitch due to him not really being in Luciano Spalletti’s plans. Borja Valero earns €2.5 million and hasn’t hardly played at all this season.
Milan Skriniar’s salary of €1.7 million seems a bit low, especially when you factor in what others who aren’t playing as much are making.
The top wage earners are certainly no surprise, with the exception of Skriniar not being on the list of the top 10 for the club.
