It appears Inter Milan’s transfer window is officially closed

No more business for the Nerazzurri, according to Ausilio.

Just as talks for several Inter Milan players were heating up with other clubs, Inter executive Piero Ausilio has seemingly closed the transfer window.

In an earlier interview, Ausilio – Inter’s sporting director – said no more deals will be made before the close of the transfer window in the coming days, including a deal for winger Ivan Perisic.

“We will reintegrate Perisic in the coming days, we won’t make any deals before the transfer window’s end,” Ausilio said, as quoted by Gianluca Di Marzio. “He wanted to play abroad, but we didn’t receive any offer. Should he stay, I expect him to act as a professional, as he has always done so far. It won’t take long to have him back.”

Perisic handed in his transfer request prior to Inter’s 1-0 loss at Torino Sunday and a deal with Premier League side Arsenal had been submitted. However, the Gunners wanted a loan deal with just an option to buy and were turned back because Inter sought only obligations for purchase.

The Nerazzurri were also exploring the potential of sending Antonio Candreva to China for Yannick Carrasco, however negotiations between Inter and Dalian in China stalled.

AS Monaco had expressed an interest in defender Joao Miranda, but similar to Perisic, talks were halted as the French side sought only a loan deal.

Inter have also reportedly been offered Domagoj Vida, which would have served as a replacement for Miranda, but because Miranda is staying it is likely that deal won’t happen.

So, Inter’s only moves during the transfer window were the signing of goalkeeper Gabriel Brazao, who will likely be loaned out to Chievo Verona or Parma, and defender Cedric Soares on a loan deal from Southampton.
