One of the more fun storylines that we get to keep up with in football is transfers. The most enjoyable ones are the controversial and diverse transfer storylines. The Lautaro Martinez transfer storyline is only going to get more controversial and more interesting the more types of players that are linked with replacing him.
Two of the players that are linked with being his replacement today we’ve heard from before. They’ve been lightly linked with Inter as potential transfer targets, but Calciomercato is reporting that Inter have a clear favorite assuming Martinez leaves in the summer.
The report says that Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is the man Inter has chosen as a clear target. The price would be somewhat reasonable, and he still has a few years left of his prime. The second option who could come if Inter can’t land a more star studded replacement is Chelsea’s Olivier Giroud. Giroud was almost an Inter player in January, so a summer move wouldn't be a shock.
