Serie A officials are reportedly meeting with clubs this week to discuss the impacts of the schedule changes on the league. Corriere dello Sport reported that the meeting with take place March 4th and determine plans for immediate matches, as well as how and when to play the postponed matches.

The changes in the schedule are of course due to precautions relating to Coronavirus and its impact in Italy. The country has been hit hard by the virus and Italian officials took extensive efforts to curb the spread of the virus, including postponing matches in the top Italian league.

One of the postponements was Inter Milan traveling to play Juventus in a top of the table clash. The way that the match was canceled caused some controversy in that Inter reportedly felt like the decision greatly benefited Juventus.

This meeting is likely to curb any further outrage from the club side and get everyone on the same page. Pull everyone in a room and discuss a plan. It’ll be interesting to see what comes out of this meeting and see what they have in mind for matches in the immediate future.
