Antonio Conte is reportedly not interested in relying on Ivan Perisic next season. The Inter boss apparently groups Icard, Nainggolan, Joao Mario, and Perisic in the same pool. He’s not interested in relying on players who weren’t present from the first year of his Inter Milan tenure.
According to reports, Perisic, who is on loan at Bayern Munich, is pretty happy to stay in Germany. The two clubs are working towards some sort of deal. The interesting factor will be whether or not they re-negotiate the 20 million euro option to buy.
Given the current economic environment, you would expect some leniency in deals, especially deals like Perisic’s. We’ll just have to wait and see how Inter prioritize getting this deal done so that Perisic doesn’t even need to return to Inter on the books.
