Ashley Young and Inter working on next year’s contract

Ashley Young and Inter Milan are reportedly working on a new contract. The full-back moved to Inter Milan over the winter transfer window after a long stint with Manchester United.

Due to the suspension of the season, Young only made seven appearances since his move. What remains unclear, is if Inter are simply going to initiate the option on Young’s contract, or sign him to a new one. His current deal runs for the rest of this season.

The Young contract is interesting for a couple reasons. It’s obviously interesting for the football implications. However, I also find it interesting as a backdrop against the Covid-19 economy.
