Inter has its Samir Handanovic replacement. According to Nicolo Schira, Andre Onana is months away from being named Inter’s next keeper. The 25-year-old’s contract with Ajax expires in June 2022 and Schira reports his move to the good side of the San Siro is a done deal.
Done Deal and confirmed! Andrè #Onana will be the new goalkeeper of #Inter from summer 2022. He will arrive from #Ajax as a free agent. 4-years contract. No surprise here since the last September 2! #transfers https://t.co/wZcHE3qkZ0

The Cameroonian has been with Ajax since 2016, making 204 total appearances and leading the Dutch club to two Eredivisie titles, two Dutch Cups, and a Champions League semifinal appearance. A nine-month doping ban threw a wrench into his plans but Onana has since resumed training with Ajax. Getting a keeper of his quality on a free would be fantastic business, and at just 25, he still has almost a decade left at the top level. Despite Schira’s positive report, it’s too early to buy an Onana Inter kit just yet - Barcelona and Tottenam are also keep tabs on him but Inter has the advantage so far.
