Well if you were looking forward to watching Inter Milan and Arsenal play in the hot Florida sun this weekend, you may be missing out. According to a report from Corriere dello Sport via Football Italia, Inter are considering withdrawing from the Florida Cup due to COVID concerns.
The Delta Variant of COVID-19 has been picking up steam all over the globe, and in the United States, it’s been especially prevalent. The tournament was supposed to begin for Inter with a semi-final matchup against Arsenal at the Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida on Sunday.
Inter will be forced to pay a fee of some sort should they actually withdraw. We should get some semblance of an official response within the next 24 hours.
