The World Cup is over, and Milan Skriniar contract extension reports are back. Although, perhaps they never left? This time around we have a report from Sky Italia via Football Italia that details the current state of affairs in regard to Inter and Skriniar’s negotiations. The reports from Italy suggest that the offer from Inter has increased to €7m per season.
The increase is vital because the sharks of PSG, Tottenham Hotspur, and Chelsea are swimming and the offers from at least PSG are closer to €10m per season. If a deal doesn’t get wrapped up quickly, we’re in for a busy January window. Inter already rejected a hefty offer from PSG because they assumed a deal with Skriniar would get done, but now the clock is ticking.
Inter are reportedly very interested in clarification from Skiniar’s camp in the coming days if he is “in or out” on returning. Let’s hope Santa leaves us a Skriniar extension agreed-upon press release under the tree.
