Inter’s opponent for its 6th Champions League final is confirmed. The Nerazzurri will take on Manchester City June 10th in Istanbul (3 PM ET, 9 PM in Milano). Man City booked its spot after a 4-0 second leg throttling of Real Madrid for a 5-1 aggregate win, which is only a slightly concerning result from an Inter perspective.

Pep Guardiola’s side is unbeaten in European play this season, winning its group with 14 points before taking down RB Leipzig 8-1 and Bayern Munich 4-1 in the knockout. As if that isn’t enough, City also has an FA Cup to look forward and is just a couple of wins away from a 5th Premier League title in 6 years. However, the Champions League is the one trophy lacking Guardiola’s men, who last made the final in 2020/21 only to be defeated 1-0 by Chelsea.

Inter will be hoping it can roll the clock back to 2010, when the good guys won 3-0 in a preseason friendly with goals from Victor Obinna (x2) and Cristiano Biraghi. While a similar result would be quite the upset this time around, anything can happen in one game of football.

Forza Inter!
