Legend:
- Local Player A: a player who came up through the club's respective youth team
- Local Player B: a player who came up through any national youth team
- Youth List B: a player that is born after January 1, 1993 and has played at least 2 year for the club or the youth team of the club
There is no surprise about the exclusion of Lucas Podolski, as this news was previously announced and is due to some restriction by UEFA's rules about the changes a club can make from the first list (presented last September) to the second one. Pablo Daniel Osvaldo was excluded too and even that was nothing new since Inter are trying hard to sell him after his scene in the Derby d'Italia and there is a legal lawsuit underway between the player and the club, which we explained here.
Newly acquired players Davide Santon and Xerdan Shaqiri, instead, have been added to the list and they will have an important role in this competition for Inter because it's the only cup the team will play after the painful loss against Napoli in the Coppa Italia quarterfinals; alsoc it could be the easiest way for Inter to take part at any European cup, because the 3rd place in the Serie A its more a dream than a possibility right now.
