Lecce v Inter: We Are So Going To Win This One

Lookit Figo Score! Go Figo, Go!

Yep. You heard it here first. We are so going to win this. And that isn't even the lithium talking. Hear me out: I know we are going through a rough patch, everyone is injured or anemic and Rafa is on the ropes, but I dont care. I have decided that the only way to beat this slump is to go all in. I am going to smile our way out of this. What's that you say? We are down to fielding youth players and Mancini? Hooray! That just means the babies get to have some fun while Mancini gets to show off. See how easy it is? All smiles, all the time.

What: Lecce v Inter
Where: Lovely Lecce, Stadio Via del Mare
When: Wednesday, November 10, 8:45pm local time (11:45am pacific, 2:45pm eastern)
How to Watch: Live on ESPN3 or these channels. Besides that, find a stream: MyP2P, Rojadirecta, Ustream, and
Liveblog: Yeppers. Be here 15 minutes before kickoff and we will liveblog our asses off.

Ok, so here is the deal. As much as I love you all and this blog, I just did not have time this week to get something together. I know, I suck. More than anything, this little bloggette is to convey my new attitude: basically I have decided to smile, smile, smile. There is no point in fretting about who is injured (everyone) or what the coach is up to (something incomprehensible), right now the only thing to do is sit back an enjoy the ride. That's right, tonight we are going to party like its 1999. Literally, I hope, because in 1999, Inter beat Lecce 6-0.

That would rock.

But I am not holding my breath.

Last time we played Lecce, Inter managed to pull out a 0-3 win. I give you the highlights (try to overlook the Ibra, focus on the Figo):

Rafa has acutally found 19 players to bring to Lecce (I know, how lucky are we! 19 healthy players. Hooray!):

Goalkeepers: Castellazzi, Orlandoni, Gallinetta.
Defenders: Cordoba, Zanetti, Lucio, Materazzi, Chivu, Santon, Natalino.
Midfielders: Stankovic, Obi, Coutinho, Mancini, Nwankwo.
Strikers: Eto'o, Milito, Pandev, Biabiany.

youth players before Lecce
Fly, little birds, fly.

I wont even bother to try to read Rafa's mind for line-ups. If ever someone would be a Grand Imperial Poobah of All Things Inter, it would be for correctly guessing this lineup.

So, you guess it, you win it - a lovely certificate, that is.

Well kids, I know it is short, but that is just about all the time I have (stupid work and junk getting in my way). After this is the derby, though, so save some enthusiam for the weekend. Besides that, go crazy. No more questions, no more doubt, just crazy happy cheering for our very favorite team.

Every little bit helps, no matter how insane or delusional it may be.
