Roma v Inter: Ready as We Will Ever Be

Obinna celebrates his goal against Roma in style
Well, as they say, this one may be for all the marbles. Roma have been looking pretty fearsome and they are starting to believe. True to Inter form, we have dropped more points this spring than some clubs have earned. Still, we had a good mid-week result that is sure to boost morale. So, here we sit, four points between us, three on the line, and everything to play for.

What: Roma V Inter
Where: Stadio Olimpico, Rome
When: Saturday, March 27, 6pm local time (10am pacific, 1pm eastern)
How to Watch: This game is being shown live on Fox Soccer Plus and RAI International. If none of those are available to you, find a stream: MyP2P, Rojadirecta, Ustream, and ATDHE.net

Ok, so here is the deal. I have been laid low by some horrible virus that has turned my body into a snot-making factory. As such, 90% of my brain power is focused on snot-related issues (where is the tissue, is there more tissue, how do I get snot off my computer), while the other 10 is entranced with the smorgasbord of day-time tv (did you know there is a whole channel that just shows rich, angry, thin women shouting at each other?). In the end, there is just not a whole lot left to deal with this blog. Plus, the thought of using correct grammar and spelling is exhausting. Be warned, by the end of this blog, it may have to be one or the other.

I am not even going to bother with doing a THEM section. Most of the rest of the Italy Offside area is a THEM section. If you want to know what Roma fans think of this game, it is not hard to find out.

Mourinho has called up 21 players (none of whom are Mario Balotelli):

Goalkeepers: Toldo, Julio Cesar, Orlandoni.
Defenders: Cordoba, Zanetti, Lucio, Maicon, Materazzi, Samuel, Chivu.
Midfielders: Stankovic, Quaresma, Thiago Motta, Sneijder, Muntari, Mariga, Cambiasso.
Strikers: Eto'o, Milito, Pandev, Arnautovic.

Apparently Santon is off to Barcelona to see a knee specialist. I think Krhin is still injured as well. As for the rest, unless your name is Balotelli, Mou pretty much called you up. We have no disqualifications, and the only player that is still a maybe is Sneijder.

I wish I was in better shape to write something really smart, witty, and inspiring. Instead, you will all just have to make do with this highlight video from last-year's fixture - it speaks volumes...

Now I am going to take myself back to bed.

Oh, and it looks like Maicon has been taking lessons from Eto'o
