Buon Natale, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Insert Occasion Here

natale_milano

I know it is Christmas Eve and for many of us, we have a ton of things to do before the holiday (I, for instance, must finish cooking dinner for 12 people), but I wanted to take a moment to thank all of you for coming around and making all this happen. Oh, and have a little laugh at with a few of our Inter boys.

First and foremost, I just wanted to thank all of you who come here and contribute to the conversation. It is a joy for me to come here and connect with so many fans from around the world. I know it has been a trying couple of seasons, but once you go black and blue, you never go back. I am confident that things will work out and we Inter will rise again. I hope that we can all be here together to revel in it.

For the rest of this blog, I would like to point out what happens when you wife leaves on vacation before you.

The club apparently had some fancy smancy Christmas party. People got dressed up and there was a band:

See, dont they all look nice? Zanetti is even wearing a tie!

So is Cambiasso. Zarate is also clearly dressed to impress.

Ok, so maybe a couple of the kids didn't get the fancy dress memo, but these kids are, well, kids. They are allowed a little casualness. They dont know better.

casta and naga
Castaignos is just a kid, a little playful casualness looks fine on him.

And then we come to what happens when you wife is out of town and you take your best friend as your date:

There is no way Susana would let him wear that to a party. The bobble hat alone is head-shake worthy. Add the crazy T-shirt, your "date" in a hoodie, and you are in full crazy-person mode.

Then, without the calming influence of a significant other, you get tipsy and do what I can only assume is drunken rock-a-raoke with your boss (it is like karaoke but with a live band).

jc and moratti
Er... How many bottles of prosecco?

jc crazy singer
Well, at least Julio Cesar is enthusiastic.

But not all our Brazilians were in bachelor mode. Lucio and Coutinho represented for the country by looking sharp as knives.

Poor Coutinho, this looks like he is posing with his dad.

Still, it looks like everyone had a great time. Oh what I would give for some footage of that party. I guess we will just have to make do with these photos and our imagination.

Cheers! Everyone!

So here is to the end of a trying year and to the hope for better days to come. Thank you all for coming and sharing your passion for F.C. Internazionale Milano with me. Have a happy, healthy, safe, fun, family-filled holiday season and, instead of wallowing in our many past defeats, dream of our wins to come (and they will come, I know it).

Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Pancha Ganapati, Happy Kwanzaa... and whatever else I have missed (please post them, I would love to know!)

And now a word from our Captain:
