After nearly two weeks in the idyllic setting of Pinzolo and the Dolomites, Inter are getting ready to fly across the pond to participate in the International Champions Cup (ICC) and tour the USA.  (In case you missed the original information about the ICC or need a refresher, you can find it here.)

As the Nerazzurri wrapped up their training with wins in friendlies against Trentino and Prato, Walter Mazzarri has given the whole squad who reported to Pinzolo two days off before heading to Washington, D.C.  The capital of the USA will serve as their base camp during Inter's stay in the States.  The traveling party will depart Milan on Wednesday, with some of Inter's World Cup stars reconvening over the next week.

Inter will also hold a joint, open training session with Erick Thohir's other franchise, DC United.  The open practice will be held on July 31, 2014 at 5.00 pm ET (local time).  It will be held at DCU's RFK Stadium and will be open to the public.  DCU season ticket holders will get the opportunity to meet players during the session.

Here is a list of players who will be reporting for the American tour:

  • Yuto Nagatomo - Scheduled to report to Appiano Gentile on Monday, July 20 and will fly Wednesday to the USA.
  • Saphir Taider - Scheduled to fly Wednesday to the USA
  • Fredy Guarin - Scheduled to meet up with the squad in the USA on July 27
The following players WILL NOT be reporting for the American tour, due to their World Cup squad going deep into the tournament:
  • Rodrigo Palacio, Ricky Alvarez, Hugo Campagnaro (2nd place - Argentina)
  • Hernanes (4th place - Brazil)
Remember, Inter will play three matches on American soil:
  • July 26, 2014 - Real Madrid v Inter, California Memorial Stadium, Berkeley, CA, 6.00 pm ET / 3.00 pm PT
  • July 29, 2014 - Inter vs Manchester United, FedEx Field, Washington D.C., 7:00 pm ET / 4:30 pm PT
  • August 2, 2014 - Roma vs Inter, Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia, PA, 1:00 pm ET / 10:00 am PT
All matches will be televised through Fox Sports Networks, NBC Sports Networks, or ESPN Deportes.  Please check your local guides.
