Gazzetta World reported yesterday that current Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho claimed in an interview that he would not rule out a return to Inter someday, and that he still holds the club close to his heart.

Of Inter, Mourinho said:

Inter is an important chapter in my life, like the other teams I coached. The two years I spent there were intense and very special. I don't know if I will return, it is hard to say at the moment. It is unlikely that I would stay at Chelsea for the next 15 years because the modern game simply wouldn't let me do this.  At this point, all I can say about Inter is why not?

Mourinho spent two seasons with the Nerazzurri from 2008 to 2010, winning the Serie A title both years and leading the side to the legendary treble in his second year.

But even though this is a nice sentiment from "The Special One," would Inter fans even want Mourinho back at this point? It's easy to idolize the man who led Inter to the holy grail of European football. Do you think Mourinho could be successful with Inter again in European competition or are his current struggles with Chelsea on the international stage enough to curb your enthusiasm?
